Every Beat of My Heart Work in Progress Screenings
The San Francisco Documentary Film Festival and the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival screened the work in progress of Every Beat of My Heart to packed houses. Shown in conjunction with the 2007 SF Blues Festival, the rough cut screened two nights at the New College/Roxie Theatre in San Francisco as part of the San Francisco Documentary Film Festival. The work in progress also screened to several packed audiences at the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival. The 85-minute documentary profiles the life and legacy of R&B pioneer, Johnny Otis. In attendance were the filmmakers and several of Johnny’s family members.  The screenings were followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers and musicians alike.

Taking Root Trailer Screened at Wild & Scenic Film Festival
The trailer for Taking Root, A How-On-Earth project that tells the story of STRAW - Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed - recently screened at the 2008 Wild & Scenic Film Festival in Nevada City, California. The screening was attended by Kevin White and Laurette Rogers, the Director of the STRAW project and one of the subjects of the film. The screening was followed by a thoughtful Q & A session.

SF Ocean Film Festival Screenings
The 2008 SF Ocean Film Festival screened both Returning Home and Restoring Balance, two films by Kevin White that address seabird restoration.  The well-attended screenings at the Cowell Theatre in Fort Mason on the oceanfront in San Francisco were followed by lively Q & A sessions.
